Candace Cameron Bure explains terrifying reason her family moved from Los Angeles

Candace Cameron Bure isn’t the first celebrity to leave Los Angeles, and she likely won’t be the last. In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, the former Full House star shared the reasons behind her decision to move her family away from the City of Angels.

“We didn’t feel safe anymore,” Bure, 48, confessed. For her and her family, safety had become a growing concern. The actress, who is a mother to three adult children, explained that not everyone in Los Angeles lives behind gates, and without that extra layer of security, they often felt vulnerable.

Over the past few years, the Bure family had experienced unsettling incidents, like people sneaking onto their property to take photos or even approaching their front door. “It’s amazing what people feel they can do,” Bure said. “Some of it is innocent, some of it isn’t. But it’s quite unnerving when you’re just trying to live your life and don’t know what’s around the corner.”

In a more personal post on Instagram Story, Bure explained the move was about more than just safety. “Family dynamics have changed,” she wrote. “The kids don’t live in Los Angeles anymore. Mama will go where they go!” She also mentioned how her busy travel schedule and the changing seasons of life influenced the decision.

While Candace didn’t reveal her new location, she clarified to Fox News Digital that she’s still in California—just not in Los Angeles. “There have been all kinds of stories about where we moved, and none of them are right,” she said. “We didn’t move to Nashville. We didn’t move to Texas. We’re actually still in California. We just moved up north. We’re no longer in Los Angeles.”

It’s understandable that Bure and her family would choose to relocate after dealing with these privacy concerns. Sometimes, celebrities just want a safe, peaceful life away from the public eye.
